About Dr Anthony Lin

Dr Anthony Lin is a General and Colorectal Surgeon dedicated to providing modern, high-quality patient-centred care to people with gastrointestinal and other general surgical conditions. Dr Lin works at Wellington Regional Hospital, Wakefield Specialist Centre, and Wakefield Hospital. Dr Lin offers a friendly, patient centred and evidence-based approach to the full range of general surgical and colorectal conditions.

Dr Lin graduated from the University of Otago. He completed his general surgical training from UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles, California, and then undertook further subspecialty training in colon and rectal from Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, Auckland City Hospital, and Christchurch Hospital. He is experienced in colorectal cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery, pelvic floor disorders, and benign anorectal conditions. He also has a special interest in hernia surgery.

He has a Ph.D. in surgery from the University of Auckland. He is also a professional practice fellow with the University of Otago and currently involved in medical education and multiple national and international research work.
