Charlotte grew up in Auckland and studied Medicine at the University of Otago. She completed specialist Gastroenterology training in Auckland and Dunedin.
With a special interest in nutrition and the role diet plays in gastrointestinal disease Charlotte trained & worked as a Dietitian prior to completing medical school. Following her Gastroenterology training she completed a Fellowship in Nutrition and Endoscopy in Auckland and she is a Consultant on the Nutrition Support Team at North Shore Hospital. She also serves as a Council Member for the Australasian Society of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition(AuSPEN). Her specialised nutrition knowledge is invaluable for helping patients with gastrointestinal illness.
Charlotte provides consults for patients with any gastrointestinal-related symptoms including bowel symptoms, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, bloating, excess gas, heartburn, indigestion, nausea and vomiting. She also provides consults for patients with established gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, chronic constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome, food intolerances and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
Charlotte is a skilled endoscopist for screening, diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
