About Dr Peter:

Dr Carr-Boyd offers specialist surgical care for cancer and other conditions of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and stomach including weight loss (bariatric) surgery. He has specific training and interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) approaches and endoscopy.

Dr Carr-Boyd obtained his medical degree from The University of Sydney and obtained his FRACS in General Surgery. He spent two years sub-specialising in HPB/UGI surgery at Auckland City Hospital and The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and a further two years focusing on adult and paediatric Transplantation with The New Zealand Transplant Unit and The Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh. Whilst in the USA he completed the UPMC Advanced Robotics Training Program.
Dr Carr-Boyd completed a Master of Surgery focusing on colorectal cancer liver metastases and is currently undertaking The Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.

Dr Carr-Boyd is accredited by GESA to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy and is a member of the ANZHPBA, ANZGOSA, IHPBA, ILTS and IPTA.
