About the presentation:

The ”What Works”: Contemporary treatments for people with eating disorders is an educational presentation, sourced from peer-reviewed articles, websites and textbooks, for GPs to review the types of eating disorders through the current status of evidence for psychological and treatments across the spectrum. This will help understand the design of treatments plans in the context of Eating Disorder

Learning outcomes:

  • Review the type of eating disorder through the current status of evidence for psychological and other treatments across the spectrum
  • Assess the place of Inpatient and Day Patient programs in the context of the Eating Disorder Care Plan
  • Explain a comprehensive Eating Disorder Care Plan within services planned and in a mental health facility
  • Discuss the recommendation of potential Medical admission as an inpatient
